Le drapeau cantonal glaronnais et ceux des communes décorent la rue principale de la ville. Sur le drapeau on voit Saint Fridolin, qui aurait été, comme Saint-Gall, un moine irlandais émigré dans la région vers l'an 500 afin de christianiser les environs. Ses voyages fréquents lui donnent le surnom de "pèlerin", d'où le bourdon (bâton) et la Bible.
