Jeudi 21 juillet / Thursday 21 July 2022 - Klöntalersee

Nous décidons de nouveau de ne pas faire la montée en début d'étape, estimée à 1h30 par la dame de l'Office du Tourisme à Glaris. La bonne décision: en arrivant au Lac du Klöntal, on voit que les écriteaux jaunes indiquent 2h30 pour la descente à Glaris! 

We decide again to skip the steep climb at the beginning of the stage, which the lady at the Tourist Office in Glarus estimated at 1.5 hours. It's the right decision: when we arrive at the Klöntal Lake, we see that the yellow arrows indicate 2.5 hours for the hike down to Glarus!

Le ciel est couvert ce matin mais assez dégagé pour voir les falaises qui montent abruptement des deux côtés de ce beau lac turquoise. Nous laissons la voiture au parking au bout oriental du lac et prenons le sentier qui longe la rive sud.

The sky is overcast this morning but clear enough for us to see the cliffs which climb sharply on both sides of this beautiful turquoise lake. We leave the car at the parking near the east end of the lake and set off on the trail which skirts the south shore.
