Une étape plus courte aujourd'hui, après 180 km en 9 jours... Un jour qui verra Carina, puis Vincent, nous dépasser pour avancer un peu plus vite.
C'est une réalité du Chemin: chacun-e marche à son rythme... Nous sommes reconnaissants pour les moments vécus ensemble et tout le partage, et nous nous garderons mutuellement dans nos pensées.
Pour moi, les pieds me disent de ne pas aller trop vite... notamment à cause d'une nouvelle cloque au talon gauche. On les soigne comme on sait faire mais parfois elles "décident" de résister!
Soirée paisible chez Denise et Jean, aux "Balcons du Lac": 57 ans de vie commune, lui vit dans la même maison depuis sa naissance... Souvenirs d'une autre époque, quand on apportait le courrier deux fois par jour, et les enfants écoutaient les anciens plutôt que de jouer avec leurs smartphones...
A shorter stage today, after 180 km in 9 days... A day that will see Carina, then Vincent, pass us by to move ahead faster.
It's part of the reality of the Camino: each person walks at their own pace... We are thankful for the time spent together and all we've shared, and will keep each other in our thoughts.
For me, my feet tell me to not rush things too much... notably because of a new blister on my left heel. We care for them as best we know how to do, but sometimes they "decide" to resist!
A peaceful evening on the "Lakefront Balcony" of Denise and Jean: 57 years of life together, his whole life spent in this house where he was born... Memories of a different era, when they delivered mail twice a day, and the children listened to the old folks instead of playing with their smartphones...
