Première étape avec Béatrice, qui découvre les joies et les défis du pèlerinage. Heureusement pour tous les 3, la pluie ne viendra pas gâcher cette journée... et les montées et descentes seront moins pénibles qu'hier. Ceci dit, on est tous contents d'arriver au gîte ce soir!
Retrouvailles au gîte avec Peter + Zita, ainsi qu'une jeune pèlerine autrichienne rencontrée ce matin à Montfaucon, Sigrid, qui est partie de chez elle il y a 2 mois et compte arriver à Compostelle dans 2 mois... au rythme de 30 km par jour! Une "PGV" (Pèlerin-e à Grande Vitesse)...
Martine, responsable du gîte, accueille à sa table aussi des membres de sa famille et un couple en "chambres d'hôtes" -- tous réunis autour de la même table pour un excellent repas avec des spécialités locales.
Our first stage with Béatrice, who discovers the joys and challenges of pilgrimage. Fortunately for all 3 of us, no rain will bother us today... and the ups and downs of the trail won't be as rough as yesterday. That being said, we'll all be glad to get to the gîte this evening!
At the gîte we meet up again with Peter + Zita, as well as with Sigrid, a young Austrian pilgrim who left her home 2 months ago and plans to arrive in Santiago two months from now... at a rate of 30 km per day! A true "PGV" (Pèlerin-e à Grande Vitesse = High Speed Pilgrim)...
Martine, who runs the gîte, also welcomes to her table members of her family and a couple staying in her "guest rooms" -- all gathered around the same table for an excellent meal with regional specialities.
